Baking Another Future Reader :)

Reading time: 3 – 4 minutes

I am currently slow cooking one of the most delicious things you will ever feast your eyes on. My first spawn was a success, if I say so myself (she’s rather cute) and now we’re trying for a new dish (yes, I am talking about a human) due sometime next summer!

We just found out yesterday and I’ve immediately vowed to be a much better pregnant woman than I was last time; enjoy this pregnancy a lot more. I am beyond thankful that I work for myself – er- my toddler now, instead of the Demon woman I worked for when I was pregnant with Carli. Yes, I am convinced she was the spawn of Satan. (Who else pulls a 7 month pregnant woman into her office to yell at her for NOT climbing on top of a swivel chair to change a clock that was out of reach over a bookcase?) That’s right. Satan, or at least spawn of.

But anyway – yes, I am announcing to the world rather early (after all, I am just 4 weeks) but I did with the last kid, and I will do it with every kid. Whatever is meant to be, is meant to be. But I don’t want to miss out on blogging about 12 weeks of this pregnancy due to superstition. You know, 12 weeks of nausea, dizziness, and wanting to just lay down and nap all day. Heh!

Already pregnancy brain is beginning to eat at my brain cells and I feel like I am forgetting everything so forgive me if I lose track of anything I am doing. Just remind me and forgive me for being ADD+Pregnant. (Lovely mix, right?) But what was I talking about before being reminded about the Devil-lady? Oh, right – being a better pregnant lady.

  1. I admit, I didn’t drink enough water. I hate water. I partially blame my lack of drinking water on my having a c-section, so – I am going to really push myself to drink more water this time around. I’ll start small, you know – maybe a glass with each meal. Have to be realistic.
  2. Not freak out over every little ache and pain and kick. – Don’t need to. I know what it all means now.
  3. Eat better! I ate way too much junk food when pregnant with Carli and gained close to 50lbs (I think?) I just can’t do that again. I’m going to eat more veggies!

Those are my goals as of yet. Here is a picture of me on Carli’s birthday. I loved having the belly, haha so I look forward to when I acutally look pregnant rather than this early time now where you tell people you’re pregnant and they look at you like, hmm, “Yes – right, ok.” And I thought you were just fat.

Oh yeah and the #1 goal (besides the obvious of having a happy, healthy baby) is having a VBAC! Though, haven’t had any success finding a midwife who will accept me to being a VBAC or a supportive doctor who will at least SUPPORT in a vbac so I am (as of 48 hours) feeling jipped already!

Awe thanks! Pregnancy brain is truly absolutely one of the worst things. It’s hard to be taken seriously when you forget everything!

Congrats! I am right there with you in so many ways. I am about 6 weeks along, but we haven’t announced it to family and in real life people yet.

Oh and I’m totally going for a VBAC too. My dd was breeched, so I had to have a c-section with her, which wasn’t too bad, but I really want to try a VBAC. The good thing is I use my fil’s office (he’s an OB-GYN) and use the midwives there and they are all open to VBACS, as are the other docs that are part of the office. In fact, the majority of them encourage it. I couldn’t imagine not being able to try just because some doc wouldn’t support it.
