Do you remember the really cool book trailer, Born of Fire, I posted on my blog a few weeks ago? This book Born of Ice by Sherrilyn Kenyon is a continuation (book #3) of the League Series!
After learning about the League series, I keep seeing the books everywhere! And yes, I definitely plan on purchasing them for review in the future (near future, hopefully!) Born of Ice will be available for purchase on December 1st, 2009.
I am glad it’s so soon because usually when I get into a series, I hate having to wait for the next one to come out! Born of Ice will also available in Kindle format, for ebook fans.
Born of Ice
Synopsis: (Taken from Amazon.com)
In the Ichidian Universe, the League and its ruthless assassins continue to keep rule. But at what cost? Welcome back to the future…and a whole new world.
Devyn Kell spent his life in service to the League until he learned of the double dealing and backstabbing that was costing innocent people their lives. Refusing to play those politics, he became a Runner—someone who makes sure planets get the weapons, medicine and supplies they need to survive. May the gods have mercy on any who get in his way, because he definitely won’t.
Alix Garran is a woman on the run from a past she can’t escape. Signing on to work for Devyn as a System’s Engineer, she finds a cause she can fight for—and a man she can respect. But as Alix’s past catches up to her, and Devyn’s old enemies turn lethal, they have to fight together…or fall alone.
I love Sherrilyn Kenyon’s trailers because it makes the book seem like it’s full of action, suspense, with a little bit of sexual romance put into the mix. It’s a pretty cool trailer, huh?

That’s awesome, Monica! How did you like the Born of Night book?
Born of Ice is a good book my only downside is the heroine. She did not seem to compliment Dev in any way and her : “I do not understand” dialog was getting a bit to me. The dialog was excellent, the interaction between the crew mates excellent, bringing back old characters and adding new ones was nice. The book is good any SK fan will enjoy it, it just left me wanting as I expected more from the heroine.
