Today, Carli took her first independent steps. You may watch the video and be like, “Really? You call that walking?” Well – yes, I do. This kid has been the most stubborn child I have ever met (no clue where she gets that from *hardy har har*) and every time you would stand her up to practice, she’d sit down without question or thought. She would refuse to even put her feet down if she didn’t want to.
Today, she decided she wanted to. But before you watch it, I advise you to turn OFF your speakers (my voice is exceptionally obnoxious trying to get this kid to walk) and it may burst an ear drum. You have been warned. Also, please ignore the boxes. We’re prepping to move and part 1 is cleaning out the garage.
Here is the moment we have been waiting 16 months for:
Now, in case you are wondering what that incredibly obnoxious noise I made was (Aren’t you glad I’m not your mother?) It’s the noise I make when I don’t want Carli to do something since “No” never works. (Ah – parenthood!)

That’s totally cute! Thanks for sharing!
