Can you guess the theme? Hint: It was popular in the 80′s.

Trust isn’t earned instantly, we are discovering. Sugar gliders aren’t like puppies who will go to anyone who gives them treats and shows them attention. To them, we are the enemy and are waiting to attack when the moment is right. They don’t know that they can trust us. Trust, with the sugar glider, has to be earned.
Penelope (the faithful wife) is very crabby. She is just a baby and very frightened and it will take a lot of extra patience to earn her trust, and then her love. To read more about our sugar glider adventures, check out our blog, http://www.gliderbabies.com.

My two daughters — my very reason for everything, seem to be growing so fast in a blink of an eye. The odd thing about parenting is that just when you think you can’t possibly love them any more than you already do..
They prove you wrong. These two amazing little beings bless me with their love every single day. I couldn’t be more lucky!

Poe (L- Hiding) and Penelope (R)
Meet our adorable new sugar glider babies, Poseidon “Poe” and Penelope. They are still with their Glider Mamas so they won’t come home until beginning of July.
Poe is a Cinnamon or Cinnamon Het (I think the “cinnamon” color shows up later, from what I was told. His parents are a nice rust red color.) Penelope is a standard grey.
This picture is very “them”. While Poe is happy hiding and snuggling, Penelope is more inquisitive. I love them both and can’t wait to bring them home!

The swing is a life saver. Unfortunately, without the bar that goes across (I need to get it from Kim, by the way) Katelyn decides it makes for a fun ride and sits up and giggles.

Happy Baby

Katelyn discovered the play guitar. I love how she dances with the music. ![]()

Kate, after accidentally eating rice flour.
FPIES is a non-IgE mediated immune reaction in the gastrointestinal system to one or more specific foods, commonly characterized by profuse vomiting and diarrhea. FPIES is presumed to be cell mediated. Poor growth may occur with continual ingestion. Upon removing the problem food(s), all FPIES symptoms subside. (Note: Having FPIES does not preclude one from having other allergies/intolerances with the food.) The most common FPIES triggers are cow’s milk (dairy) and soy. However, any food can cause an FPIES reaction, even those not commonly considered allergens, such as rice, oat and barley.

I am knitting this for the baby on the way. It is a sleep sack made of 100% wool yarn which goes over a cloth diaper. Not perfect, but – I am pretty new at this.

Allison was born and raised in Central FL in the 80s. Therefore she still likes the color 'hot pink' and cheesy family sitcoms.
Currently she resides in (where else?) Central FL with her wonderful husband, Forrest, and their toddler tornado, Carli. (She's kind of cute).
Our second bundle of joy (another daughter) was born on July 13th 2010. Her name is Katelyn.
