Cute, Cuddly, and Comfy — Personalized Blankies.

A few weeks ago I was contacted about trying out this customizable product, a soft and cuddly blanket for our little ones. I was able to go through the entire customizable process and pick out the perfect blanket for my youngest, Katelyn. Honestly? It was all very easy.

I wanted something soft, yet not anything that would be too warm for Florida Weather. I wanted something really girly and I wanted it to say something really sweet. So I ended up picking out “Natalie’s on Cloud Nine” which is $109 value. Natalie’s On Cloud Nine is made a soft minky/velour on both sides. It really is buttery soft to the touch. The blanket is outlined in a smooth ivory satin with customizable text of your choice (in the color of your choice). You can even choose embroidery text that is glow in the dark, or with additional symbols. Although I did not choose glow in the dark, I did get extra symbols around my text of a heart.

The text I chose was from one of my favorite childhood books, growing up. I imagine every parent knows the book, “Love You Forever” by Robert Munsch. I felt the famous quote from the book was fitting for such a personalization and it tells but of just a fraction of how much I love my daughter, Kate. I hope one day she will appreciate such a sentiment, and I have Fill in the Blankie to thank for that.

Side 1: Katelyn Rain (Born 07/13/2010)
Side 2: I’ll love you forever.
Side 3: I’ll like you for always.
Side 4: As long as I’m living, my baby you’ll be.

I ordered my blanket and had it on my doorstep in less than a week. I imagine it was about 4 days. It was very quick and I had imagined it would take longer, as most customizable products do! So I was actually very impressed that it arrived in such a short time.

Being the seamstress that I am, I tend to be extra picky of sewn children’s products. However my Fill in the Blankie was expertly sewn. The embroidery was done beautifully. I have seen really bad embroidery where the threads were coming loose, however my Fill in the Blankie was made to perfection! The embroidery threads were neat and secure. I have no doubt this blanket will last for a long time.

Since receiving my personalized blanket a few weeks ago, Kate sleeps with it every night. She loves the soft touch of the blanket. There is something soothing about it; the soft texture of the blanket itself and the cool satiny finish around it.

Fill in the Blankie has quite a few options to choose from. The blankets start at just $39 with a lovely heirloom looking blanket that reminds me of warm evenings near a fire. It would be such a wonderful gift at a baby shower that a parent would be sure to use. For warmer climates, they have really trendy looking sheet-blankets made from high quality cotton. If you know of a child who always needs to have a blankie near by, I would definitely recommend looking into ordering a customizable blanket from Fill in the Blankie. They are sure to impress even the pickiest of blankie lovers.

 I’ve seen Katie’s blanket personally and it was lovely! I wish it came in “big girl” sizes! LOL.

WORST experience ever. Do NOT order from this company. I ordered 3 blankets in November in hopes to have them for x-mas. The first one I received (baby blue waffle weave) looked like a dirty dish towel. It was sea-foam green with light blue lettering (ewww) and was nothing near a waffle weave. It looked like a used blanket/dish rag. It was nothing near the quality that I ordered. I emailed and called the company numerous times but never even received a call or email in return – terrible customer service!
The second blanket was fine – but arrived AFTER xmas (mind you I ordered in November) and I flat out NEVER received the third blanket. They did however charge my credit card for all 3 blankets. The credit card company has now taken over to dispute the charges.

    BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE

I ordered my blanket on December 1, 2011. After emailing to check on the order in January, I received a response that it was lost in the mail. Now, end of March, still no blanket and no response by email or phone. This has been worst experience! Terrible customer service! I would not recommend this company at all.

Ugh. That is horrible to hear (as the other experience.) Did they provide you with a tracking number or anything like that? If I were you, I would try reaching them again and if they do not respond then I would most likely file a charge back with my card.
