Last year I failed miserably. It just so happens I was suffering from morning sickness. There is nothing like nausea to take away your creative spark. This year, though, I am determined to do better. Granted that now I battle my time between two kids (toddler and an infant), a few blogs, photography business, AND a husband.. well, it’s going to be rough.
Yesterday I managed to write just a few pages. I had to finish up a set of images from a photoshoot for their holiday portraits. Since the holidays are soon approaching, I really have to bust my butt and get those photos done asap for my clients. Since I am all caught up, now maybe I can focus on writing during the kids naptime.
Katelyn usually naps from 11:30-3ish and Carli usually naps from 12:00-2:30-ish. I say that gives me at least a good two hours today to work on Under Every Stone (my working title). My goal is to get 1,000 words today, plus what I missed yesterday.
Let’s make that happen!

Good luck. I’m participating this year too!

Unrelated to the novel writing…I am jealous of the napping schedule! I celebrate when Lydia does 45 minutes. She’s an energizer bunny. I need to take out her batteries.
Good luck! I *trying* to participate this year — so far, I have about a 1,000 words. Not good for the week.

Good luck, I hope that you find quality time to write down your thoughts. It’s hard to do this if you have two kids to look out for. But I bet you can do it!

You can do it Allison. You can be a multi-tasker mom. There might be times that you will feel you have no time but that should be your inspiration.
