J.Kaye created a Meme for Mondays where you list the books you have recently completed this week, books you are currently reading, and books you hope to read this week. This is one of my favorite memes (and favorite bloggers) so make sure you check it out and participate, if you can! :)

The books I have read in the past week:

Books I am currently reading:

Books I plan on reading this week:

  1. How to Get Your Child to love Reading: For Ravenous and Reluctant Readers Alike – Esme Raji Codell
  2. Ferris Beach by Jill McCorkle
  3. The Baby-Sitter’s Club: Kristy’s Great Idea (Graphic Novel) by Ann. M Martin & Raina Telgemeier

Don’t be alarmed by the many books I read this past week. They were very easy reads (for the most part) and I didn’t even finish reading Her Fearful Symmetry (which was beyond horrible).

What are YOU reading?

Wow, you didn’t finish Her Fearful Symmetry? Wanna send it my way? :P And how great was Hush, Hush? I also read it last week (as you know!) http://lavenderlines.wordpress.com/2009/11/16/its-monday-what-are-you-reading-4/

@Colleen:I loved Hush, Hush! It wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be (based on hype!)

No, I couldn’t get past 50 pages in HER FEARFUL SYMMETRY. It was so mind numbingly boring! (Is numbingly a word?) I got it from the library so I already returned it.. otherwise I would send it to you!

Still want to read Symmetry, and Hush Hush.  I’ve heard a lot of good stuff about those books.  And those graphic novels sound cool too!  Holy cow! You’ve read a lot!

      1. Yes!!! I was amazed to find this out myself. I found out about it on Twitter, of all places!
      2. I haven’t heard of Jill McCorkle before, but the book looks really good so I am excited to read it. I am glad you gave her a good recommendation because I am always nervous about reading new authors!
      3. GREAT! I hated it, heh!

Read The Maze Runner and Silksinger last week, currently reading Lips Touch Three Times and The Good Neighbors: Kin. Next up: Going Bovine by Libba Bray. Lips Touch is incredible, by the way. I can’t recommend it highly enough for both story and writing.

Awesome list, Her Fearful Symmetry was on my wishlist but I might hang off for a little while… “beyond horrible” kind of scared me LOL. Have you read her first novel Time Travellers Wife? If you have, did you enjoy it?Happy reading

@Jennifer: I just discovered the BSC graphic novels myself. They are in the kid section/series. They were sort of hidden! Someone mentioned them on Twitter so I just HAD to get one! :)
