Poe (L- Hiding) and Penelope (R)

Meet our adorable new sugar glider babies, Poseidon “Poe” and Penelope. They are still with their Glider Mamas so they won’t come home until beginning of July. :( Poe is a Cinnamon or Cinnamon Het (I think the “cinnamon” color shows up later, from what I was told. His parents are a nice rust red color.) Penelope is a standard grey. :)

This picture is very “them”. While Poe is happy hiding and snuggling, Penelope is more inquisitive. I love them both and can’t wait to bring them home!

I don’t think I have ever saw one of those before, but they are seriously adorable. Do they stay in the house? How big do they get? I’m curious!

They do not get big a tall. They are almost the size of their parents (if you can imagine, that!) and you can pretty much hide them on youThey are pets that like to hide out in pouches so many people put them in their pockets. :)

They are inside animals and are in cages like other small exotics.

I’ve thought about getting a sugar glider for my son. Will this be your first sugar glider? I’m curious as to what kind of pet they make?

Yes they will be my first sugar gliders. I am SUPER excited though. From what I understand, they make excellent pets. The only thing is, they are community dwellers so they need at least one more of their kind.

I definitely recommend reading into them before purchasing because they are a little more higher maintenance than other pets, such as rats, ferrets, or rabbits. But they are wonderful, all the same! :)

Oh and if ANYONE here is thinking of getting one — do NOT get them from POCKET PETS. (Frequently seen hanging out at the mall!)

    Big No-No.

Oh, that is the sweetest little thing. Are they happy in the house or can you take them outside to glide? I’ll be very interested to hear more about them as they grow up with your family! Arlie Jarels
